Organizations to Connect With
The Columbine Health Systems Center for Healthy Aging is CSU’s catalyst for interdisciplinary research and evidence-based outreach and education about healthy aging. The Center unites 60 faculty members across 4 colleges and 15 departments who are researching critical aging issues through lenses such as psychology, engineering, health and exercise science, veterinary medicine, behavioral science, and beyond. Clinical trials and research studies are regularly spearheaded by Center-affiliated faculty, and the Center regularly offers educational programming and services to the community, including a monthly fitness class, COVID-19 Expert Panel Q&A, and seminar series.
A Little Help’s Mission Statement is connecting neighbors to help older adults thrive. They connect volunteers with older adult neighbors to help people age in their homes and in community. Volunteers help with things like snow shoveling, companionship, and transportation that we all slow down with as we get older. They also connect people through events like picnics, seminars and social gatherings.
