Northern Colorado Equality seeks to empower the LGBTQIA+ community and our allies through activities, a PRIDE festival, programs, services and education. Eclectic of Northern Colorado is a Transgender and Non-Binary support network for Northern Colorado. They have twice monthly peer led support group meetings, a Facebook page, and other events through the year. Contact them at NoCoEclectic@gmail.com
Colorado Name Change Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of transgender Coloradans by assisting them with their legal name change and gender marker corrections. Through workshops across the state, pro bono legal assistance, nonpartisan advocacy, and innovative technology implementation, they seek to make being who you truly are easier to accomplish.
Their goal is to increase access to resources, provide accurate information, reduce the bureaucracy, streamline the process, and reduce financial barriers for transgender Coloradans seeking to have their legal identity match their true identity.

Only 20% of Americans personally know someone who is transgender, so most people learn about transgender folks and the issues they face through the media which is often very inaccurate and wrought by transphobia.
