The Body Project Mission Statement:

The Body Project at Colorado State University (CSU) is dedicated to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community where individuals of all ages, backgrounds, gender identities, racial and ethnic groups, sexual orientations, sizes, abilities, and socioeconomic statuses come together to challenge conventional beauty ideals, cultivate body image, and enhance self-confidence. Through evidence-based practices, interactive workshops, and peer-led initiatives, we strive to empower participants to embrace their unique identities, reject harmful societal pressures, and foster a culture of inclusivity and acceptance. Committed to promoting holistic well-being, we actively engage in eating disorder prevention by providing education and support to individuals navigating challenges related to food, body image, and mental health. Our mission is to inspire lasting positive change within ourselves and our communities, advocating for a world where everyone can thrive free from the burden of disordered eating and negative body image.
