In 2020, ACT Human Rights Film Festival celebrated its fifth year presenting human rights films to engaged audiences. While the program’s mission remained steadfast, the COVID-19 pandemic altered both when and how the 5th festival took place. From postponement to pivoting to a virtual festival, ACT’s audience members, filmmakers, film subjects, supporters, and campus partners continued to support ACT. We are honored that hundreds of households from more than 22 states joined ACT to watch the 2020 festival’s 22 films online instead of in theatres.
